Woman who defrauded Mavado faces additional charges of forgery

Real estate attorney, Jennifer Messado is now facing more criminal charges.
The Counter-Terrorism and Organized Crime Investigation Branch (C-TOC) has placed additional charges of forgery and collecting money under false pretense against Messado on Tuesday.
According to the police, the new charges are based on the allegation that in June 2017, the prominent attorney prepared an agreement for the sale of a property without the owners’ knowledge and consent.
“It is alleged that Messado forged the signature of the mortgager to facilitate the fictitious transaction and collected US$150,000 as down payment for the prospective purchaser,” the police said
Messado is scheduled to appear on Tuesday, Sept. 11th, before the Kingston and St. Andrew Parish Court in that matter.

This is just one of the latest accusations of misconduct against the lawyer, who is still currently facing a number of charges including an accusation that she defrauded entertainer Mavado of almost $31 million dollars for the purchase of a property.
