Two-y-o Girl Killed in Montego Bay Hit and Run, 10-y-o Injured
A two-year-old girl died as a result of multiple injuries sustained when she and her 10-year-old sister were hit by a motor car along the St James roadway Tuesday evening.
The police are now seeking the driver of a Nissan Note motor car, who sped away from the scene.
The deceased has been identified as two-year-old Sasha-Gaye Dennis of John’s Hall, St James.
Reports are that about 7:00 pm, the two sisters were crossing a section of the Howard Cooke Boulevard, along with their mother, when the two girls were slammed into by a motorcar, which was heading towards the direction of Coral Gardens.
The two girls were taken to the Cornwall Regional Hospital where the two-year-old infant was pronounced dead and her sister admitted in a serious condition.
Dennis’ death pushes to 140, the number of people killed on the nation’s roads since the start of the year.
