Three Men Shot Dead by Police in Annotto Bay, St Mary
The Inspectorate of the Constabulary (IOC) and the Independent Commission of Investigations (INDECOM) are currently investigating the killing of three men by the police on Sunday, June 24.
Reports are that three men who challenged the police officers to a shootout were fatally shot, while a Smith and Wesson pistol with two rounds of ammunition, and a .44 Magnum pistol were retrieved from the scene.
The incident took place in Annotto Bay, St Mary at about 2:45 pm while a police unit was on duty and indicated to the driver of a motor car to stop.
The driver of the motor car proceeded to stop the vehicle, but the other two occupants alighted from the motor car and opened fire. The police allegedly made an evasive maneuver and returned fire, hitting all the men fatally.
The men were taken to the hospital where they were confirmed dead.
They have been identified as Andrew Davis, otherwise called ‘Bailo’; Rohan Keys, otherwise called ‘Bankie’; and Kamar Robinson.
The incident occurred about 2:45 p.m. when a team of officers who were on duty in the area signalled the driver of a car to stop.
