The police have theorized that the four men shot dead in the community of Braeton in Portmore, St Catherine, late Friday evening after an alleged shoot-out with law enforcement officers, are the suspects who are responsible for killing a hearse driver and injuring a woman, a baby, and a teenager at a funeral in Waltham Park Road last Sunday.
According to reports, the identities of the men have now been ascertained. The are Shaquille ‘Oniel’ Brown, Damion Bailey, and Jerome Moble of Waterloo Road, St Andrew and also Westmoreland addresses.
The fourth man has not yet been identified by the police. The ages of the deceased men have not yet been determined.
The Independent Commission of Investigation (INDECOM) has been carrying out their investigations to determine the legality of the killings done by members of the St Catherine South Police Division.
Three 9mm pistols were recovered from the scene by officers, who were allowed to carry out their investigations unbothered. This was a strong indication to the INDECOM team on location, that the community members were not making any outcry for ‘justice’ or suggesting malpractice on the part of the officers involved in the shooting.
