Security Guard Allegedly Shot by Licensed Firearm Holder in New Kingston
The Communications Unit of the Jamaica Constabulary Force has reported that a security guard was shot and injured by an alleged licensed firearm holder in New Kingston on Monday.
According to the reports, the incident occurred at around 7:30 pm at Braemar Avenue, where a security guard was on location.
It is understood that the security guard and a licensed firearm holder got into a heated argument when a loud explosion was heard by residents just moments later.
Checks were made and the security guard was found suffering from a gunshot wound.
He was taken to a nearby hospital where he is currently receiving treatment.
The police are currently investigating to determine the circumstances that led to the shooting.
