Man Shot by Police, Gun and Ammo Recovered in Denham Town

The Denham Town police reported that a man was shot and injured during a confrontation with officers on Greenwich Park Road Kingston on Saturday.

According to reports, a firearm with ammunition was seized from the injured man after the incident.

It is said that the incident occurred at approximately 3:05 pm while a police unit was carrying out an operation in the area. It is alleged that the team was greeted with gunfire from an unknown group of men, which led the team to take evasive manoeuvres to return fire.

After the shooting subsided, one man was found suffering from a gunshot wound while holding onto a Sig Sauer pistol with a magazine containing three .45 cartridges.

The firearm was removed and the injured man taken to a nearby hospital where he received treatment.

The other men involved in the shooting reportedly made their escape.

The police are currently probing to determine the shootings validity and claims made by the officers.
