Hotel Worker Stabbed to Death by a Group of Men in St Ann

The St Ann police are currently probing the stabbing death of a hotel worker by a group of men at a home in Hartland, Priory in St Ann, which was caught on CCTV.

The deceased has been identified as 40-year-old Damian Haye, more commonly known as ‘Squire’, of a Hartland address in the parish.

Reports are that Haye was stabbed and his throat slashed, while another man was stabbed and injured.

The incident reportedly took place at approximately 11:00 am on Wednesday, July 11 while the deceased was at his home and heard someone knocking on his door. After opening his door to find out who it was, he was greeted by a group of men who made their way inside his house and stabbed him multiple times, then slashed his throat.

A neighbour overheard what was happening and ran to Haye’s assistance, but he too was stabbed and left for dead while the men made their escape.

Residents contacted the police who came and found the men lying in a pool of their own blood.

They were taken to the hospital where Haye was confirmed dead, while the other man was admitted.

The incident was caught on CCTV which is currently being reviewed by the investigating officers.
