Bounty Killer Upset Over Attack on Mavado in His Home Community of Cassava Piece
Dancehall entertainer Bounty Killer expressed how disturbing it was to learn that his protege and former Alliance member Mavado, was shot at over the weekend in his community of Cassava Piece.
The ‘5 Star General’ took to his Instagram earlier today to voice his outrage at the incident using a throwback video of himself and Mavado performing in Cassava Piece in 2006 with the caption“Disturbed, disappointed disapproved Cassava Piece should never pop off a piece over a fist fight not right protection @mavadogully protect yu chest protect yu knee protect yu foot dem protect yu head and certain place yu nuh fi put dem!!! Jah naah sleep.”
The post by Killer confirmed the news reports that Mavado was in fact fired at in his home community during an altercation with a resident, and narrowly escaped without harm.
According to news reports, Mavado approached a man that had an ongoing dispute with his son, when the argument allegedly led to the man getting slapped by the entertainer, who then fled the scene to retrieve a weapon, which was used to fire at the artiste in retaliation.
However, Mavado has since rubbished the claims made by several media outlets who he insists are spreading ‘fake news’.
According to the entertainer in an Instagram post made today, the caption read: “I’m just saying f#@k the rumors I wonder how much Dem pay Dem media friends for all this shit dem a chat anyway bless up my community cassava piece my ppl.”
Controversial dancehall selector and social media personality Foota Hype, who is also from the community of Cassava Piece and a former member of the Bounty Killer led ‘Alliance’, is praying for peace in Cassava Piece and that no harm comes to the entertainer and former friend.
