Belly of a Man Cut Out with Chainsaw During Dispute Over Wood in St Thomas
A dispute between two men in St Thomas has left one party hospitalised from injuries sustained after a chainsaw was used to slash him across his belly.
Reports are that the incident took place early Tuesday morning, at about 7:00 am in the district of Logwood in the parish.
It is understood that the altercation stemmed from a disagreement over coal wood, with one blaming the other that he had stolen from him.
Things became heated and turned physical, with one man using a chainsaw to badly cut the other across his belly.
The injured man was taken to hospital where he was admitted under a serious condition, while his attacker was taken into police custody for questioning.
It is unclear at this time whether or not the injured man survived from the injuries sustained.
