31-y-o Man Shot and Killed at His Home in Westmoreland
The bloodshed continued in the parish of Westmoreland when a man was shot and killed by unknown gunmen who invaded his home on Tuesday morning.
The deceased has been identified as 31-year-old labourer, Jerome Carey of South Sea Park, Whitehouse in the parish.
Reports are that at about 4:30 a.m., Carey was awaken by strange sounds. He went to investigate and was attacked and shot by unknown assailants.
The police were called and upon their arrival, Carey was seen lying on the floor of his house in a pool of blood with what appeared to be gunshot wounds to the upper section of his body.
No motive has so far been established for the killing by the Whitehouse police who are investigating the incident.
