Gunmen Shoots Up Policeman’s Car in Flankers, St. James

A police constable assigned to the Barnett Street Police Station in Montego Bay, St James was lucky to escape with his life after his private motorcar was hit by gunshot while he was driving along the Flankers main road Sunday night.

Reports are that the constable was driving his motor car along the roadway when he heard a gunshot which shattered the rear windscreen of his motorcar.

The constable lost control of the vehicle which ran off the road. He sustained injuries and was taken to the Cornwall Regional Hospital where he was treated and released.

The police, who are investigating, are yet to establish a motive for the attack.

The probe is ongoing.
