Four Murders in St. James Montego Bay on Sunday Morning


Montego Bay has yet another bloody day when four murders were reported on Sunday morning.

The first killing was recorded by police at about 8:00 a.m. when a man was discovered shot dead at Dappa Lane in Glendevon in the parish. He has been identified as 21-year-old Ricardo Robinson of the community.

Police were then summoned to the second murder scene at about 10:15, when a taxi operator, also of a Glendevon address, was shot and killed by unknown gunmen along the Salt Spring main road. His identity has not yet been established, though he’s said to be in his 50s.

It was approximately 15 minutes later, when the cops were called to the Red Dirt section of Flanker in the parish, where a woman was shot and killed and a man shot and injured while walking along a lane. The female victim was identified as 22-year-old Keisha Cole of Hog City in Flanker while the injured man was admitted to hospital; in serious condition.

Two men were shot while walking along Merriam Way in Montego Bay, by two men travelling in a black motorcar. Both victims were rushed to hospital, where one was pronounced dead and the other admitted in serious condition.

The murder count has now risen to over 300 since the start of the year in St. James. Montego Bay, Tourist capital of the island.

Police are currently investigating these murders.
