FOOTA HYPE said to stop “CUSS” him because he helped “RIBZY” — New name for 17-y-o girl
Dancehall selector Oneil ‘Foota Hype’ Thomas has defended himself over criticisms that he humiliated a young girl at a party last week.
Thomas was caught on camera shaming the girl over her physical appearance, in front of a crowd of patrons at the Day Rave Thursday street dance in Kingston. The video showed the popular dancehall selector grabbing the girl’s arm and requesting food for the young female over the microphone as observers laughed.
The incident has earned Foota Hype the wrath of Jamaicans, with many persons blasting the selector’s behaviour as “disgraceful”.
However, a defiant Foota defended his actions on his social media page. In fact, he said he did a good deed for the girl, who had claimed in the video that she was 17-years-old.
“All when mi do good them still a cuss mi,” Thomas said on Instagram.
