52-y-o Man Charged for a Crash that Killed a Woman & Injured Eight others in Clarendon
Winston Thompson a 52-year-old man from Glenmuir Housing in May Pen, Clarendon was charged with causing death by dangerous driving following a motor vehicle collision which claimed the life of a woman and injured eight people on Thursday, November 02.
Dead is 45-year-old Karen Sullior of Mount Mariah district in St. Ann.
Reports from the May Pen Police are that about 10:30 a.m., Thompson who was the driver of a Toyota ISIS motor car was at the intersection of Bustamante Highway in the vicinity of Foga Road when he allegedly crossed into the path of a Toyota Hiace bus travelling in the opposite direction with which it collided.
Eight persons were injured and taken to the hospital where Sullior was pronounced dead.
Thompson was subsequently arrested and charged. He appeared before the Clarendon Parish Court on Wednesday, November 02 and was granted bail. He is scheduled to reappear on Thursday, November 09.
